Gonzalo Reyes Rodriguez is an artist working in photography and film/video to examine the temporal ambiguity of our experiences of images. He has presented solo exhibitions at David Peter Francis, New York (2024); the Centre for Artistic and Cultural Practices, Winnipeg (2021); and Terremoto / La Postal, Mexico City (2019). His work has also appeared in group exhibitions at Luhring Augustine, New York (2024); the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa (2023); and the Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow (2022).

His work has been written about in Aperture, Artforum, C Magazine, and The New York Times, and are held in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others.

Gonzalo received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 2019 he was a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia where he is an Assistant Professor in the Audian Faculty of Art at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
